It was a fun process creating a podcast as this was my first one ever. I tried to find a website that would be user friendly and easier to use than iMovie and I found wevideo. I had to learn my way around the website first but once I was familiar with it, creating my podcast was not too challenging and very fun to do. I really liked learning more about Basquiat and his work. I will be using him as a focus artist once I start my graffiti unit in my classroom.
I had so much fun creating my own bitmoji classroom. The process was very straightforward. I linked information that we were currently covering by creating links to the original version of the work. I strongly believe this is something extremely useful. I can see myself using this as a way to keep students updated on what is going on in our classroom or even on campus. Since education is expanding towards being very technology based, having my bitmoji linked in my google classroom can be very useful. I can have my students check the classroom weekly for any updates or important information.
I had a very positive experience creating our Pop Art lesson with my group members. We all were assigned a very fair amount of work at the very beginning and worked towards meeting with each other. I enjoyed how my group was very open to feedback, I think that is very important to be open to collaborating with others and take their suggestions into consideration. The lesson we created collectively was so fun, I enjoyed creating my teacher sample and I am sure any student would enjoy creating their own pop art selfie.
I created a gallery for Roberto Lugo in google sites. I had never used google sites before but had heard it could be useful to create art portfolios. I decided to create my gallery using this site to see if it would be a great resource for my students and it really is. I like the simplicity of it and the way you can organize the work using different sized tiles. I also enjoyed learning more anout Lugo's reasoning behind each piece he creates.
I had tons of fun creating my animated video. As I created my video, my son was super interested in what I was doing that he ended up wanting to help me moving parts of my drawing. even though the process seems very easy, it is very time consuming. In order to have smooth video, it is recommended to have a tripod in order to keep the phone steady and I learned that the hard way. I had to redo my video because of how shaky it was. Overall, I faced some challenges but easily over came them.
My step by step video was by far my favorite, I was able to apply all the skills I learned from our first assignment, our podcast, and apply them to this video. I was also able to use an application that helped me speed up my video so it was shortened from 30 minutes down to 7 which was very useful. I worked on creating a video based on the color wheel as an activity that can be done after we cover color theory in the classroom. I am certain I will continue using this video in my classroom in the years to come.
